eta: some people have reported trouble with the link from my blog to rick's page and the ability to make a donation. i just checked my link and it appears to be ok on my end (but i use a mac & safari...maybe that makes a difference?). please leave me a comment if you are having trouble as well, so i can email you the direct link instead. and thank you for all of the support!
you may remember me blogging about my husband's monumental weight loss (50+ pounds) a few weeks back. and that he accomplished this goal by riding his bike. well, this biking interest has developed into a truly passionate activity. he rides 4 days per week, 40-50 miles per day. that is up to 200 miles per week, and that is huge.
rick recently signed up for the bike ms: kansas city ride 2010. he will ride 150 miles in 2 days. what makes this even more important to him (and to me) is that his cousin was diagnosed with ms. he is only a couple of years older than rick. and he has participated in some groundbreaking research that has literally reversed his symptoms, even if just a little bit. none of this would have been possible without, of course, donations.
so i am reaching out to all of you to help rick reach his goal of $200. of course, we would like to surpass this goal, but any support is truly appreciated. click on the logo below to be taken directly to rick's page. you may also monitor the progress of rick's entire team by clicking his team's link on his page.
so, if you have a spare moment and a spare dollar, we would appreciate your help.
rick and i thank you so much!

p.s. i am even getting involved on the day of the event by passing out snacks and drinks at the bicycle shack tent!

that is an awesome event! i have a handful of friends that participate each year [the ones that trained me for it back in the day] and am proud of all of them. go team rick - we'll click!
